Learn how to safely activate a spacesuit in a high-altitude environment or under the dangerous effect of hypoxia. Learn to manage a cabin depressurization like the one that took the lives of the crew of Soyuz 11. IIAS is the only commercial institute that can provide this experience with a 100% safety record. The high-altitude spacesuit training takes place at a hypobaric chamber facility.
Day 1 Space suit operational training in mission-qualified spacesuit: don / doff, pressurize, perform safety checks, and conduct basic operations
Day 2 Space suit technician training and certification: learn about space suit operations and safety in teams, support hardware, and systems. Hypoxia awareness training at altitudes up to 25K feet.
Day 3 Space suit activation training at altitudes up to 25K feet.
