REQUIRED TRAINING: Participants must first complete the Desdemona Simulation Training
During this high-g centrifuge simulation, you will experience accelerations up to 6 g’s under the supervision of expert staff. The day will progress as follows:
- Welcome at the Centre for Man in Aviation
- Medical check-up
- Centrifuge training that gradually increases your acceleration up to 6 g's, with step-by-step coaching on how to cope with the acceleration including breathing techniques
- Certificate of completion
Note: The Nancy Vermeulen Space Training Academy offers a variety of astronaut training activities. Each experience is capped at 5 people. Please contact us to learn how to package these experiences for a more comprehensive astronaut training program.
