Learn how to fly a mission on a Soyuz spacecraft in the Soyuz Spacecraft Simulator. The simulator includes the following training encompassing the entire flight profile of a Soyuz mission to the International Space Station.
- Pre-launch preparation of the spacecraft
- Orbit insertion (after launch)
- Orbital maneuvering
- Approaching and docking with the ISS
- Flying jointly with the ISS
- Disconnecting from the ISS
- Reentry into Earth’s atmosphere
- Landing and final operations
You will also train for a variety of spaceflight scenarios including off-nominal / anomaly situations in manual and automatic flight modes.

The Soyuz spacecraft is a Russian spacecraft that carries people and supplies to and from the International Space Station. From 2011 to May 2020, it was the only way for any person to travel to the ISS. The Soyuz can accommodate 3 astronauts / cosmonauts and launches from Kazakhstan.
